From Student to Lead Instructor and Beyond

Choosing a New Path at 17
Miranda Marhofer’s journey into the world of esthetics began unexpectedly. At the young age of 17, while juggling the demands of her senior year during the height of the pandemic, Miranda made a life-changing decision. Although she hadn’t always planned to follow in her mother’s Desarae’s footsteps, the pandemic gave her the time to reflect on her future. Esthetics began to look like an exciting career with incredible possibilities.

Esthetics School and Early Success
Miranda’s commitment was evident from the start. She not only completed her esthetics education but earned her license before she even graduated from high school. Immediately after obtaining her license in April of 2021, Miranda joined the family skincare business, where her dedication and skill helped her build a full book of clients in less than a year. Her passion for helping and educating others began to take center stage as she found fulfillment in guiding clients toward better skincare.

Stepping into Education
After two successful years as a treatment room provider, Miranda recognized an exciting opportunity for growth. In the summer of 2023, she stepped into the role of Pueblo’s part-time lead instructor at Beautiful You Skincare Academy. Her transition from provider to educator was seamless, and she soon graduated two classes of her very own, helping them achieve their goal of becoming licensed estheticians. Miranda’s talent for teaching is clear, as she inspires the next generation of beauty professionals.

A Vision for Leadership
Miranda’s journey doesn’t stop with education. Like her mother, she is passionate about supporting and empowering the beauty industry, and her ambitions are growing. She envisions taking on a larger leadership role within BYSA, where she plans to use her experience and insight to help drive the business forward and advance the quality of education for all students.

We are incredibly proud of Miranda’s success and the strides she has made in such a short time. Her journey from student to instructor is a testament to her hard work, passion, and dedication. Miranda is a shining example of what can be achieved as a graduate of BYSA, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow, eventually stepping into an entrepreneurial role and helping lead the company’s mission and vision forward.
