Ashley Buderus – From Student to Solo Esthetician Entrepreneur

And this week we are sharing her journey from an eager student in our Pueblo campus to a thriving solo esthetician is a testament to her dedication, passion, and the comprehensive education she received at BYSA.

She credits BYSA with giving her the knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards, which have become foundational in her practice. “I walked away with so many skills,” she explained, “not just the technical side but interpersonal skills too, like building rapport with clients.”

From BYSA to Boss: Owning Her Esthetics Business

Ashley’s journey didn’t stop at graduation. After gaining invaluable experience in a med spa, she furthered her education in PMU (permanent makeup) and opened her own solo esthetician business earlier this year. “I have the privilege to work in the location of a medspa but provide my services as my own entity,” Ashley said. Being her own boss has offered both freedom and responsibility, and she’s thriving in her role.

A Fulfilled Career: The BYSA Difference

When reflecting on her career, Ashley is nothing but grateful. “Becoming an esthetician and starting my own business has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” she said. She believes that her time at BYSA set her up for success, not just by giving her the technical skills but by instilling a sense of confidence and preparedness.
