Beautiful You Skincare Academy was not created overnight.

I founded BYSA with the belief that education should do more than prepare students to pass an exam, it should prepare them to think critically, act ethically, and move confidently through their careers. Over time, that belief has only deepened.

Desarae Marhofer is a visionary founder, industry leader, and beauty entrepreneur with over two decades of experience shaping elevated careers in esthetics.

Her Beautiful You journey began behind the treatment table in 2009 as a solo esthetician, where she developed a deep understanding of both the craft and the business of beauty. Through disciplined growth and intentional leadership, Desarae successfully built and scaled a profitable med-spa operation “Beautiful You Skincare Studio”—gaining the operational insight and leadership experience that now informs her work in esthetics education.

Recognizing a gap in traditional esthetics training through hiring estheticians in her med-spa studio, Desarae founded Beautiful You Skincare Academy, a boutique, empowerment-driven esthetics school designed to develop not just licensed professionals, but confident, capable leaders. With multiple campuses across Colorado, the academy is known for its elevated standards, hands-on advanced training, and strong business foundation that prepares graduates for sustainable, real-world success.

A Private Boutique Beauty School

Our Skincare Academy is Approved and Regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, & the Division of Private Occupational Schools.

We offer Colorado State Approved curriculum regulated by DORA, and The Department of Private Occupational Schools for the following courses: Esthetician Program, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Dermaplaning, Microneedling, Eyelash Extensions, Lash Lifting & Tinting, Brow Henna & Lamination, Brazilian Waxing, and 132 Permanent Cosmetics program. You will receive a State Approved certificate with a state seal after meeting the required DORA training requirements for all courses.
